Fort Worth, Texas
Terravon Energy is a privately held oil and gas company. The firm operates conventional assets in the Permian Basin and is actively acquiring royalty interests, non-operated working interests and additional operated assets throughout the Lower 48.
More than 100 years of combined experience across operations, reservoir engineering and finance — the background behind every acquisition we underwrite.
A single, disciplined process applied to every opportunity the firm evaluates — an individual royalty tract, a fractional non-operated position, or a field the firm assumes operatorship of directly.
Acquisition Mandate
Because the firm is acquiring interests it does not operate, its mandate is not constrained by where it can field personnel.
Permian, Mid-Continent, Gulf Coast, East Texas, Ark-La-Tex, Rockies and Appalachia. Any producing basin in the Lower 48 falls within our mandate.
Major, large independent and private operators alike. Each asset and each operator is evaluated on its own merits rather than on reputation.
Shallow heavy oil through horizontal development. Oil- or gas-weighted. Cash-flowing PDP, or packages carrying identified development upside.
Acquisition Focus
Terravon is building a portfolio weighted toward interests it does not operate, diversified across operators and basins. Operatorship is assumed where asset characteristics suit the firm's field capabilities.
Revenue interests carrying no capital obligations and no exposure to operating costs, in any basin and beneath any operator. The primary focus of the firm's acquisition program.
Working interests acquired alongside established operators, extending exposure to basins, reservoirs and development programs without corresponding field overhead.
Assets Terravon operates directly, currently in the Permian Basin — mature conventional production where runtime, lifting cost and secondary recovery performance are the principal drivers of return.
Terravon's principals have an extended track record of partnering with family offices, institutional lenders and structured finance groups, including GE Energy Finance, to capitalize and scale upstream ventures.
Every asset eventually reaches a point at which monetization is the appropriate course. Our own engineers evaluate each package directly, which lets the firm move quickly and close on the seller's timeline.
Operating Capability
Terravon's team has operated oil and gas assets over the past thirteen years across more than twenty counties, and currently operates conventional assets in the Permian Basin.
Assessing a lease operating statement, a decline curve and an operator's field practices accurately requires having performed the work — which is exactly what acquiring a royalty beneath another operator's wells demands. Where an asset warrants it, Terravon assumes operatorship; where it does not, the firm holds the revenue interest instead.
